“We have forty million reasons for failure, but not a single excuse”
–Rudyard Kipling

This quote probably really touched people. It represents how we have to take responsibility for our actions even if it’s failure. It shows how we can fail over and over and over again but each time it is our problem and not “the dog’s fault” or “I ran out of time!”’s fault. Take responsibility for your failures but also your successes. Rudyard Kipling was an English journalist and novelist. He won a Nobel prize for literature in 1907 at age 41 and he was the youngest recipient up to date. He was also the first English-writer to win a Nobel Prize.
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
-Oscar Wilde

I love this quote and I bet lot’s of other people do too. It brings a new meaning behind ‘Be yourself’. It tells you to bring something new to the table and not something that everyone else already has. Some other quotes that Oscar said are “I am so clever that sometimes I don’t understand a single word of what I am saying.”, “Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.” and “ To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people just exist, that is all”.
“Each one of us has lived through some devastation, some loneliness, some weather superstorm or spiritual superstorm, when we look at each other we must say, I understand. I understand how you feel because I have been there myself. We must support each other and empathize with each other because each of us is more alike than we are unalike.”
-Maya Angelou

This quote by Maya Angelou shows us that pain is not a competition and that there is no reason in the world why we should not support and lift up each other. Maya teaches us that even if you feel alone you’re not and you never will be.
